Shepard Fairey gained overnight success in the art world with his iconic “Hope” poster of Barack Obama in 2008—the point at which this controversial artist began conveying his political views through bold graphic design. This work was described as “Social Realism”, and within a year it had become the ‘official’ White House poster.
Starting out as a graphic artist, Fairey soon moved out into the streets to create urban graffiti artwork. Early works include a stencil design of “Andre the Giant” – a piece that went skyrocketing throughout the US market, adorning billboards, walls & signs all over the country.
Fairey is still creating posters, lithographs, and stencils today, and at ACXchange we will buy your Shepard Fairey art.
